Deloitte/Management Magazine Top 200 Awards Event Branding 2004

Objective: to raise awareness of New Zealand’s definitive business awards, the awards dinner and communicate a core theme pertinent to the business year and its current climate. Climate being the operative word, where the idea of ‘Perfect Growing Conditions’ was used as a metaphor to drive the theme of the event and notable a series of 7 double page spread advertisements.

Solution: was to take the notion of seed packets and alter their ‘botanical name’ to reflect a prominent business name and their characteristics - so one example pitched was ‘Stephen Tindallalus’ as a Tall Poppy! A sequence of packs were designed and seen in situ, for realistic effect.

PROJECT: Deloitte/Management Magazine Top 200 Awards Event Branding 2005

Client contact: Reg Birchfield, Profile Publishing Objective: To develop a unifying theme that acknowledged 15 years of the Top 200 business awards and could be effectively represented across all aspects of the awards event, from advertising, web and promotional material to the event ‘experience’ on awards night itself.

Solution: A ‘party’ concept celebrating the event as a big birthday bash, in a way that builds a sense of theatre and drama around the event. Idea: A Las Vegas revue, inspired to inject glamour and a sense of international style. The rich glitz of the main event, was designed to accentuate the feeling of the most glamourous of birthday parties, delivered in classic vaudevillian style.
