Cannes – the final cut
It is Saturday here and it is our last full day before we all begin our trek home.
The sun is shinning and the Mediterranean looks very inviting, however we are all off to the final seminars before we head to Antibes for dinner and then onto the closing gala.
Yesterday was a good day but must admit people are starting to slow down. The highlight was watching the young Lions developed concepts from a brief, which was basically, ‘design something that could not have been done 5 years ago’. Standouts were the following:
Absolute Vodka, Digital Ice Cubes – that measure alcohol and mix for the perfect drink.
A sustainable campaign for reducing household food waste, using technology and phone applications to alert you when your food is going off and gives you notice when to cook it. In Europe alone they waste 800 euros per person per year.
We also saw UNIQLO – Jef you will love it! Great Japanese design and they most humble of presentations! We have lots of pics to share.
Today we are off to see the McDonalds session – dreaming in mono and Smirnoff – our community is our brand.

It has been a real pleasure to be here and we have met some really good people within the STW network. We are already planning our reunion……
