Michael Crampin

Michael's extensive experience in the design industry began at the Design Council in London. He has also worked for two leading UK design consultancies: The Team and international identity specialist Cato Gobe.

At Designworks, Michael's role as Head of Creative Strategy involves developing the overall strategic and creative direction for a project, with specific responsibilities in terms of concept development and creative writing.  “My job is going out there and then bringing it back – think deep, think big and then ground it so it can work.”

Michael has worked with a wide range of Australasian clients including Telecom, Westpac, B_E_E, TVNZ, APEC, Coca-Cola, DB Breweries, Kordia, Air New Zealand and Carter Holt Harvey.

“Creativity is a different way of looking at things, not just a nice looking thing. At Designworks we use creativity to think outside of the norm and break down and out of categories. I love working with thinkers who are open to building on and making big concepts bigger.”
