Promoting New Zealand abroad
London - New Zealand House Penthouse was filled to capacity on Nov 17th with over 100 guests, key clients, Beachheads advisors, and other strategic contacts, as they came together for one of many of New Zealand Trade & Enterprise's global rugby leveraging events.
This is part of a drive from NZTE to showcase New Zealand's business acumen by aligning it with our famous track record with rugby. designworks created the overarching theme to communicate the dualities between the two, through collateral such as invitations, gift packs and event signage (seen in the picture behind Sean Fitzpatrick).
In the build up to the Rugby World Cup 2011, former All Black Captain and successful business speaker, Sean Fitzpatrick spoke to the engaged audience on the comparisons and similarity between business and sporting excellence, and provided insights into being an All Black.
The event also included a performance by the young New Zealand tenor Will Martin and closed with a haka performed by Maori cultural performance company Manaia.
Feedback from the event has been extremely positive and guests of New Zealand companies were very impressed. Key guests included representatives from NHS Innovations, Deloittes, Vocalink, John Smeadly, British Telecom, Liberty Wines, Wells Fargo and Serco, and journalists from TV3, Sky TV New Zealand, The Economist and The Times.
Michelle Templer, Trade Commissioner UK & Ireland, said: VIPs commented that they felt renewed enthusiasm for all things New Zealand. This is critical in building partnerships and strategic relationships with large companies where personal connections are vital in securing access to decision makers. I'm also confident that the Kiwis in the room walked away standing taller, through renewed pride in what it means to be a New Zealander.
