RED Awards
Telecom's re-branded retail store wins
Telecom Superstore in Botany has won the 'SOTT Brand Application Award 2010' at the New Zealand Retail Association's RED Awards. The store also took out the Best Design in the Home Appliances, Electronics, Telecommunications & Digital division.
The premier retail design awards of the New Zealand Retail Interior Association (NZRIA). The RED awards are a national, self funding not-for-profit programme run annually by the association and are about promoting excellence in retail design as well as recognising the contribution of designers, shop fitters and suppliers to the retail industry.
The RED Awards have both national and international significance.
Designworks has been working with Telecom on a wide ranging brand transformation programme over the past year, which has included an evolution of its Superstore strategy and the development of the brand's application across the company's nationwide retail network.
In collaboration with architects Gascoigne Associates, Designworks is also now developing the retail strategy and design concept for a Telecom 'concept store' as part of the company's new head office in Victoria Street, Auckland. The new concept will move Telecom away from the traditional retail model to a concept that puts a customer's needs set at the centre of the retail experience.
